My Top Finds from 2019

I am not an excessive shopper. I am pretty minimal and don’t like to have a lot of “things.” But I do enjoy refreshing my wardobe and home seasonally. And I LOVE shopping for Ford. It’s actually way more fun shopping and styling a boy than I expected, which is also dangerous…

Point is, when I buy something…I use it A LOT. I would rather have a few nice things that get lots of use than one-off products and clothing. If I buy a shirt, I will wear it once every week or so. If I buy something for my home, I am keeping it and even restyling it multiple time. You get what I’m saying.

I thought it would be fun to share my top 5 products from 2019 that I bought and that you also loved!

Round Brass Mirror

I bought this mirror orignally for Ford’s nurery in our old home. It was the perfect addition to his nursery above his dresser/changing table, but when we moved into our new house…I restyled it in our living room! It looks great over either a dresser or console table. I’ve even thought about putting it on our mantle above the fireplace. The brass is beautiful and doesn’t look cheap. The sizer is perfect - not too small or oversized.I love the versatility of this mirror and it’s no suprise to me this was the top favorite find from 2019!

White Leather Sneakers

I have received 3x in cost-per-wear on the beautiful white leather sneakers! I wanted a nice pair of ‘mom shoes’ that could also be dressed up and these are IT. I know everyone is very into the Golden Goose trend but I cannot justify that price tag for sneaks and I am not a fan of the dupes. These are classic - a clean white leather that is very well made. I have worn these shoes for every occasion from park trips with Ford to weekend brewery dates and I love packing them when I travel because they work with everything! I’ve worn with long (and short) dresses, denim shorts and jeans or all styles, and with my favorite lounge wear. I would buy these again and again (and the slight wear mine have actually give them a GG feel). So, it’s no suprise you all love these as much as I do!

Wood Toy Chest

We got these white wood toy chest for Ford last Christmas and it’s the perfect addition to our living room. I swear it’s the only reason we are able to keep our main living space tidy and pretty much toy-free! I love the size of this toy chest. It fits perfectly on the side of our fireplace, but could tuck under a table or built-in. It’s easy-to-open and Ford has no issues getting in and out. Plus, it serves double duty as a mini bench that he will sit on to read or to run his cars along. We love this toy chest so much we are thinking about buying it in a different color for our basement!

Pearl Headbands (Set of 3)

Thank god headbands because trendy again this year because they have SAVED me! Trying to fit everything in a day seems impossible, but headbands help. If I workout and don’t have time to wash my hair…cue the headband (and dry shampoo). If I am on day three hair, enter the headband. It also helps hide all of my baby postpartum hair regrowth! I wear these all the time because they are actually really comfortable (not too tight) and seem to make any outfit look like I really tried. Even if I didn’t am running behind. They are amazing!

Oversized Sweatshirt

I was reluctant to buy clothing from Amazon, but randomly found one of their labels and had to check it out for myself. This oversized striped crewneck tunic sweatshirt is one of the pieces I found and can’t stop wearing. It’s a classic crew cut with a longer length that looks good with jeans or leggings. The fabric feels high-end and it doesn’t wrinkle! It’s such a beautiful piece and the stripes make it look really quality, but it’s under $30 - making this a win-win for anyone that loves nice lounge wear!

BONUS - Cold Brew Maker

I had to throw in a bonus item because this is such a great find for under $15! I stumbled on this cold brew maker in the summer when I was trying to make my own coffee at home. I love this becasue it’s so easy! I add coffee grinds to the container, press it and add water, then put in the fridge for 24-hours. Having a jug of cold brew coffee is such a game changer and I used this so much this summer! I loved seeing so many of you jump on the #bethebaristachallenge train and using this cold brew maker!

Those are my top finds from 2019! Which is your favorite?
