Weekly Habits for Better Days

I’m not going to lie, I’ve had really good days where I feel confident, productive and in control and some where I can barely get from the bed to the couch. It’s okay. But what I have learned through this time of quarantine is that it’s my daily (and weekly habits) that will help give me a sense of normalcy and make me feel better.

As a mom (and business owner) I have to be strong. I have to lead my team and take care of my son and everything in-between. So, while the hard days are hard and sometimes you have to let them happen - I need to find the things that make me feel good and help me keep going everyday.

I’ve been working on the following daily habits (trust me, this doesn’t always happen)

  • Wake up at the same time (between 6:00 a.m. - 6:20 a.m. is ideal for me)

  • Make the bed

  • Have a delicious coffee

  • Write down 3 goals for the day + 3 things I MUST do

  • Ask myself what I need to do to feel good that day (i.e. meditate, be outside, write)

  • Move my body (30-minute run outside or quick YouTube workout while Ford plays)

  • Tidy the house (I am learning to love cleaning up daily)

  • Spend at least 30-minutes of phone-free time with my son

  • Remind myself that no mater what, I am doing a good job

What are the daily habits and routines that are helping you?
