Tips for Shopping Local this Holiday Season
This year is different and difficult. Small businesses need our support more than ever. I am making an effort to shop more gifts from local stores this holiday season and have added a few local/small businesses to my wish list!
Shopping local might feel as convenient as clicking ‘buy now’, but it’s incredibly important. So, I thought I would share a few tips on making it easy to shop and support local this season.
Here’s a few tips:
💰 Make room in your budget for local. Make a plan in advance so you don’t have to use Amazon at the last-minute.
👩🏻💻 Browse social media + online + Etsy, as many local shops have added inventory or you can DM them to inquiry about purchasing!
📝 Add local shops and items to your holiday wish list and send links to family.
🌲 Consider local experiences and gift cards, and subscriptions as options!
🍽 Don’t forget about local restaurants! Consider carrying out or ordering a meal for your celebrations.
