My Spring Capsule Wardrobe

When it comes to my wardrobe, I prefer to only buy pieces that I will wear over and over again. That means, looking for quality items that are made well and can easily be mixed-and-matched to create easy looks for all the roles I play...running a business to blogging events and of course, being a mom. Sharing a few of my spring wardrobe essentials for everyday life!

9 Months with Ford

Things are starting to move fast. Like, really fast! Ford is getting close to walking, which doesn’t even seem real. And is growing so much both mentally and physically. Time seems to be going by quickly. Sharing a quick update on 9 months with Ford.

Mother's Day Gift Guide

I recently asked all my mamas on social media to share what they REALLY want for Mother’s Day. Flowers are nice, brunch is always a good idea and I will never say ‘no’ to jewelry…but sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest impact! I decided to compile a few Mother’s Day Gift ideas that are easy and that any mom would truly love!

The Baby Products We Still Use & Love

Now that Ford is 8-months-old (how is that possible?) I thought it would be fun to share the baby products we still are using to this day. When we created our registry, I was completely overwhelmed with how many baby gadgets there are. I think I spent HOURS researching everything, comparing prices and looking for cute options. It’s crazy to think that only a few of the things we purchased or received lasted more than a few weeks or months. If I were to have another baby (not anytime soon), I would definitely pare down my list to the essentials. These are the few items we are still using to this day and would buy again and again…

Airing my dirty laundry

Sharing my dirty secret…I hate doing laundry and decided I am not going to do it anymore! I recently enlisted WishWash Laundry to help our family and it has been the best decision. It’s actually more affordable to outsource our laundry services and to spend those hours working than attempting to do it myself.

Things I am saying 'no' to this year

One lesson that motherhood has taught me is that I simply cannot do it all myself. We’ve all heard the phrase ‘it takes a village' but I never truly understood that until I became a mom. Everyday, I am learning to enjoy letting go more and more in order to be the best mom, wife and business owner I can be. Here are a few things I committed to saying ‘no’ to this year to cherish my first year of motherhood.

Easter Basket Essentials

I am SO excited to celebrate Easter with Ford this year. Even though he won’t remember it, I want to start our family traditions now.  I decided to plan our Easter Basket for Ford early knowing that stores often get cleared of inventory quickly. I went into my Target with a goal to not spend more than $60 and to stick to items that Ford really needs. I would call myself a ‘minimalist mama’ and don’t like having lots of stuff, so really was trying to avoid buying anything that he wouldn’t need, want or use.

Spring Denim Haul

It’s fun to switch up my look by trying new denim styles and I am loving all of the different styles this season. After several years of sticking to skinny jeans, I decided to add a few different looks to my rotation including a pair of high-waist “mom jeans”, the flare crop and distressed straight leg denim.

You're Invited! Mommy & Me Meet-up at Monica & Andy

I am SO excited to host a Mommy & Me meet-up this Wednesday, March 27 from 11:00am - noon at Monica & Andy on the Country Club Plaza.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that I hosted a Coffee Meet-up last month…it was so fun to get together with women, many of which are moms, and chat about life, business and chasing after passion projects. That meet-up was so inspiring, I have decided to attempt to host a new networking event each month with a specific theme. Since I love connecting with moms on social media, I thought it would be fun to take our conversations offline for this month’s meet-up!

Strategy & Style Workshop Lessons

I am still on cloud nine from the incredible workshop I was able to host earlier this month. We had such an amazing group of women brought together for positive energy and inspiring conversations. I wanted to share an overview of the event and some of the top takeaways I had for anyone that wasn’t able to attend! We are in the planning process for the next workshop and if you’re in Kansas City, would love to see you there!
